The eleventh day (Ekadashi) of the bright fortnight in the Hindu month of Kartik holds great significance in Hinduism. This day is known as Devuthani Ekadashi, also called Devotthan Ekadashi or Prabodhini Ekadashi. The day marks the awakening of Lord Vishnu from his four-month-long yogic slumber, symbolising the end of the Chaturmas period. According to Hindu beliefs, Lord Vishnu goes into Yoganidra (divine sleep) in the Kshirsagar (cosmic ocean) on Devshayani Ekadashi and awakens on Devuthani Ekadashi. During these four months of Chaturmas, auspicious and ceremonial activities such as weddings are traditionally avoided. Once Lord Vishnu awakens, the period of auspicious events begins again. This year, devotees are uncertain whether Devuthani Ekadashi will be observed on 1st November or 2nd November 2025. According to the Hindu Panchang: The Ekadashi tithi begins on 1st November at 9:11 AM and ends on 2nd November at 7:11 AM. Householders may observe the fast on Saturday, 1st November 2025. Followers of the Vaishnava tradition, who observe the fast according to the Udayatithi (sunrise time), will keep their fast on Sunday, 2nd November 2025.Reports also suggest that ISKCON Vrindavan will celebrate the Ekadashi puja and fast on 2nd November. After bathing, wear clean clothes and offer water (Arghya) to the Sun God. Light a lamp (diya) in your home temple and take a vow to observe the Ekadashi fast. Place a small wooden platform (chowki) in the northeast corner (Ishan kon), cover it with a yellow cloth, and install an idol or image of Lord Vishnu. Offer roli (vermilion), chandan (sandalwood), yellow flowers, fruits, saffron, turmeric, sweets, and tulsi leaves to the deity. Light incense and a lamp. Read or listen to the Devuthani Ekadashi Vrat Katha and chant the Vishnu Sahasranama or Lord Vishnu’s mantras. Conclude the puja with an aarti and seek forgiveness for any mistakes committed during the rituals. Observe the fast throughout the day and break it the next day (Dwadashi tithi) after performing Parana. The interiors are still concept-like, but some of the design elements could be shared with current Honda cars, while the detailing would be futuristic. This new EV will be positioned above the Elevate EV and would be a premium product. This would be electric-only, and there would be export plans as well along with the Indian market. We expect the battery pack to be 60 kWh, and it will be LFP, although specific details would be revealed later. For Honda, this would be an electric SUV that will be its first made-for-India SUV and will enter a congested market, but the design is stand-out, which will be its key advantage.

Indian markets witnessed a firm start on Wednesday as the Sensex gained over 60 points to start trading at 84,692.31, while the Nifty inched up nearly 60 points to ring the opening bell at 25,994.00. In the broader markets, as volatility remained high, the Nifty 100 gained 0.15 per cent and the Nifty Smallcap 250 declined 0.39 per cent. Sectorally, the Nifty Auto index tumbled 0.86 per cent and the Nifty Metal jumped 0.94 per cent. In the pre-open session at around 9:06 AM, the Sensex was trading a little over 84,600, higher by over 40 points and the Nifty tested 26,000, rising nearly 60 points. At 8:33 AM, the Gift Nifty was trading at 26,162 or 36.50 points higher, indicating this firm opening of the session. How Did The Markets Perform Yesterday? On October 28, the markets witnessed a volatile trading session, as the Nifty slipped below the 25,950 mark. The Sensex declined 150.68 points, or 0.18 per cent, to close at 84,628.16, while the Nifty settled 29.85 points, or 0.11 per cent, lower at 25,936.20.  Most sectoral indices ended in negative territory, dragged down by losses in realty, IT, and FMCG stocks. Gains in metal and banking shares, however, helped limit the overall decline. Broader markets remained largely unchanged, reflecting selective buying rather than a broad-based recovery. On Tuesday, “The domestic market traded with volatility and ended nearly flat, pressured by profit booking on monthly expiry and subdued global cues,” said Vinod Nair, Head of Research at Geojit Financial Services.
