Trump, the 47th President of the United States, made it clear that he has powerful allies ready to intervene. “Numerous of our NOW GREAT ALLIES in the Middle East, and areas surrounding the Middle East, have explicitly and strongly, with great enthusiasm, informed me that they would welcome the opportunity, at my request, to go into GAZA with a heavy force and ‘straighten out Hamas’ if Hamas continues to act badly, in violation of their agreement with us,” Trump wrote. A Delicate Balance: Trump Holds Back Allies The former president, who met with key regional leaders at a peace summit earlier this month, confirmed he had advised both these eager nations and Israel “NOT YET.” He expressed a hope that Hamas would “do what is right” and honour the cessation of hostilities. Earlier this month, the Indonesian leader pledged his nation’s continued support for stabilising the Middle East. “We’ve sent aid, we’ve dispatched ships, and we’ve flown Hercules aircraft multiple times,” Mr. Subianto confirmed, highlighting Indonesia's commitment to humanitarian and security efforts. Truce Wavering as US Envoy Arrives Concerns about the truce’s longevity spiked after deadly exchanges between Israeli forces and militants continued. Reinforcing the ceasefire has now become a critical mission for the White House. US Vice President JD Vance arrived in Israel on Tuesday, with a direct mandate to bolster the wavering truce. Israel confirmed earlier the recovery of a hostage’s body and pointedly accused Hamas of breaching the ceasefire terms. However, Hamas negotiators in Cairo quickly countered the accusation, insisting the group remained “determined and committed to seeing it through to the end.”

It is around 4.5m long and is a compact off-roader of sorts, while its design makes it an ideal choice for being a new off-roader sitting beside the Fortuner. The turning radius is also compact, and it is as capable as the bigger Land Cruiser. The smaller dimensions mean it is easier to live with and compact in its size in terms of the driving experience. The interiors also get proper buttons and are inspired by the Land Cruiser, but have a more rugged, boxier look. There are two big screens, but plenty of buttons, while the space is decent. The new FJ Cruiser will get a 2.7-litre petrol engine and an automatic gearbox. To be built in Thailand, the new FJ cruiser would be sold in Japan and later in other Asian countries and the Middle East. Being a more rugged off-road centric SUV, the FJ Cruiser makes sense for India, but won't come here most likely since the Fortuner sales could be affected. However, we think there is a market for a more compact off-roader like this, but only if Toyota brings this to India! We think the design is different and looks unique, but has plenty of appeal too.

Core Industries Slow Down In September 2025: Energy Weakness Offsets Steel And Cement Gains

India’s core sector growth moderated to 3 per cent in September 2025, easing from a revised 6.5 per cent expansion in August, according to data released by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on Tuesday.  The slowdown was primarily driven by weaker output in coal, crude oil, natural gas, and petroleum refining, partially offset by gains in steel, cement, electricity, and fertilisers. Steel, Cement, Fertiliser Drive September Growth The combined Index of Eight Core Industries (ICI), which represents 40.27 per cent of the weight in the overall Index of Industrial Production (IIP), registered only a modest increase last month. The combined Index of Eight Core Industries (ICI) increased by 3 per cent (provisional) in September 2025 as compared to the Index in September 2024. Electricity generation rose 2.1 per cent. However, the overall growth was dampened by contractions across energy-heavy sectors. Coal production fell 1.2 per cent, crude oil declined 1.3 per cent, natural gas output dropped 3.8 per cent, and petroleum refinery products slipped 3.7 per cent.  These categories, which carry substantial weight in the index, collectively dragged down the composite figure. Cumulative Growth At 2.9 Per Cent For FY26 So Far During April to September 2025-26, the cumulative growth in the eight core sectors stood at 2.9 per cent, compared with the same period last year. The ministry’s data also confirmed that the final growth rate for August was revised upward to 6.5 per cent, highlighting that the current deceleration marks a temporary softening from the previous month’s high. Steel continued to show strong momentum, with a cumulative output of 11 per cent in the first half of the fiscal year. Cement production grew by 7.7 per cent, while electricity and fertiliser output rose 0.9 per cent and fell 0.4 per cent, respectively. In contrast, petroleum products declined 0.3 per cent, and both crude oil and natural gas reported deeper cumulative falls of 1.1 per cent and 2.9 per cent.

The e Vitara is also exported from India which makes this car a key model for Maruti Suzuki. The e Vitara is a purpose built EV and not an ice to ev conversation. In India the e Vitara will come with two battery packs- 49kwh and 61kwh. Size wise the eVitara has a length of 4275mm while the width of the eVitara is 1800mm. Wheelbase of the car is 2700mm. Production of the car has kicked off at the Hansalpur, Gujarat facility and Maruti has set aggressive plans with a high production target. However, the caveat is that most of this production would be for export with e Vitara being exported to around 100 countries all over the world. Range of the e Vitara is set to be around 500km for the higher model while more details regarding the India spec models would be revealed soon. The e Vitara would also be the most well equipped Maruti Suzuki with 7 airbags, a new interior altogether, ADAS level 2, ventilated seats and more. This would also be the most ambitious product by price too which means that the e Vitara would be the most expensive Maruti SUV being placed above the Victoris and the Grand Vitara. Maruti will have a lot of competition to deal with but its advantage is its sales network and the reach which no other carmaker has. That said, the e Vitara would be more of a halo model for the brand with being its first EV.

'Keep Dreaming!' Khamenei Slams Trump On Destroying Iran’s Nuclear Facilities Claims

Iran has rejected a renewed offer of talks from the United States, denying claims by US President Donald Trump that the country’s nuclear facilities were destroyed in an airstrike in June. In a statement, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei accused Washington of “imposition and bullying”, claiming that any deal proposed by Trump was “predetermined”. Khamenei said such coercion undermines the very concept of negotiation, insisting Iran’s nuclear programme is for civilian purposes only. He also criticised Trump’s recent statements on Gaza, describing them as manipulative and false. Tehran and Washington previously engaged in five rounds of indirect nuclear negotiations that ended with a 12-day conflict in June, during which Israel and the US bombed Iranian nuclear sites. “Trump says he is a dealmaker, but if a deal is accompanied by coercion and its outcome is predetermined, it is not a deal but rather an imposition and bullying,” Khamenei said in a post on X. Last week, Trump told the Israeli parliament that it would be ideal if Washington could negotiate a “peace deal” with Tehran, following a ceasefire in Gaza between Israel and Hamas. “The US president proudly says they bombed and destroyed Iran's nuclear industry. Very well, keep dreaming!” Khamenei said. “What does it have to do with America whether Iran has nuclear facilities or not? These interventions are inappropriate, wrong and coercive.” Khamenei further claimed Iran was in the midst of a “soft war”, accusing Trump of trying to demoralise the Iranian population. “In a soft war, the enemy tries to make the people depressed and to lose all hope of their own abilities… The US President tried to give hope and boost the morale of the disappointed Zionists in Occupied Palestine with a handful of empty words and his buffoonery,” he wrote. He added that during the 12-day war with Israel, Iranian missiles penetrated “the depths of several of the Zionist regime’s important centres to destroy them” and claimed that Israeli forces were dealt a “hard blow”. Dubbing the US a “terror state”, Khamenei accused Washington of being complicit in the war crimes in Gaza. “US resources and weaponry have been made abundantly available to the Zionist regime so they could be dropped on the defenceless people of Gaza… Children as young as four years old, five years old, and newborns , you've killed [over] 20,000 of them! Were these children terrorists? You’re the terrorists!” Khamenei also accused the US of sponsoring terror groups like Daesh, claiming they remain under US control to be used at will. He concluded by questioning America’s authority over Iran’s nuclear programme: “What position do you hold in the world? How is it any of America’s business whether Iran has nuclear capabilities and a nuclear industry or not?”
